This week Drew Barrymore revealed on her eponymous talk show that she and Adam Sandler are in talks to do another film together.

The 48-year-old actress-turned-host was chatting about Forrest Gump’s Tom Hanks and Robin Wright when her cohost Ross Mathews chimed in.

‘I love when people we love in movies, like, reteam for a movie. So, I’m gonna ask you on behalf of everyone: you and Adam Sandler, are we doing another one?’ Matthews questioned.

The mother-of-two replied, ‘We are definitely talking about it. Oh, yeah. For sure.’

‘There’s conversations to find the [right movie]. We’re actively seeking to find the right thing,’ Drew explained.

‘We’re always — you know, I think it’s very script/story specific,’ the seasoned entertainer noted about what the duo is looking for.

The audience erupted in cheers and applause at the excitement of hearing the statement.

Drew smiled, shrugged her shoulders and teased, ‘I’ll just leave it at that,’ as Ross said, ‘That’s all we need to know!’

Drew and Adam first appeared on the silver screen together in 1998’s The Wedding Singer.

Then came 2004’s 50 First Dates, a rom-com in which the actress played the Lucy to the Waterboy actor’s Henry.

A decade later they reunited for the story of Blended, about two single parents who fall for each other.

While the Hollywood-raised personality has put acting aside to focus on her talk show since 2020, Adam has continued making films.

He starred in 2022’s Hustle and 2020’s Hubie Halloween after earning a SAG nomination for 2019’s Uncut Gems.

Barrymore’s revelation comes two days after celebrities flocked to the internet to wish her a happy birthday.

The actress flashed back to years past with a fun video synced Mariah Carey’s viral tune It’s a Wrap and captioned, ‘That’s a wrap on 47! 48, let’s go!.’

Drew felt the love in the comments section, where fans sent their well-wishes to the birthday girl – including several entertainment industry friends.
