The victim of the actor’s prank this time is an 80-year-old woman.
Reddit user afdc92 submitted a tale about Reeves and his grandmother, who had a huge love on him when he was younger because he looked like his grandfather. He claimed that his grandmother had seen every film starring Reeves.
She had a stroke when she was in her early 70s and spent the remaining ten years of her life primarily at home. Because she rarely got to see her own movies, watching them became a pleasure and “new companions” for her.
The Redditor’s uncle was in Los Angeles for business and ate at a “very posh” restaurant shortly after “The Matrix” was released in theaters. And, as luck would have it, Reeves happened to be in the same place as a woman.
His uncle didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to tell Reeves about his mother, so he approached their table after the actor had finished his lunch.
“I don’t generally do things like this, but I just wanted to let you know that my 80-year-old mother adores you and has seen every one of your films.” “You remind her of my father,” remarked the man.
The actor was then asked whether he had a telephone, and after verifying that he had, Reeves responded, “Give her a call, I want to talk to her.”
