Larry Birkhead is a delighted father after his 16-year-old daughter, Dannielynn Birkhead, graduated from high school and was named to the honor roll.
Dannielynn Birkhead, the late model Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, ended the school year well, achieving at least a 3.5 grade point average to reach the outstanding list. So Larry Birkhead congratulated her on her achievements with a nice Instagram message.

On June 1, the 50-year-old photographer shared images of the duo in a vehicle. Dannielynn Birkhead giggled after photographing her father from somewhat unfavorable positions.
In the slideshow, he also included a photo of his daughter’s two honor roll certificates.
There’s nothing like attempting to have a serious conversation with one’s child only to be mocked with the worst photos one’s ever taken on their phone. He can’t be the only parent who has this problem, he joked at the beginning of the post.
He then commended his daughter for being a wonderful student in the face of adversity.
Dannielynn finished 11th grade and maintained honor roll status during some difficult times they had caring for his mom before she passed away, he said. He is so proud!
According to the photographer, the pair is looking forward to summer break and Dannielynn Birkhead’s final year of high school.
And in the meantime, maybe she will snap some better pictures of him, he continued.
Before concluding the post, he joked that he was thinking about enrolling his daughter in photography lessons this summer, including the hashtags “honorroll” and “badcellphonepics.”
Larry Birkhead’s sweet remark comes almost a month after the father and daughter attended the Kentucky Derby in May.
The two, who attend the yearly event every year, chose to honor Smith with their attire.
The girl donned a long-sleeved top printed with black-and-white images from her mother’s Guess campaign in a carousel of now-deleted Instagram photographs.
She also wore a black tulle skirt with a tiered skirt and matching belt.
Larry Birkhead accessorized his daughter’s look with a tie that also included Smith’s Guess marketing images.
Smith died in February 2007, while her 5-month-old daughter was still a baby. In the caption, Larry Birkhead recalls his first encounter with Smith at the Kentucky Derby. “Tonight is the 20th anniversary of the same event where I met Dannielynn’s mom,” he wrote.
He talked about honoring Smith before attending the gala.
Dannielynn’s displaying her fashion sense while also paying tribute to her mother, he added. It was part of a Guess collection that was discontinued, and she (Dannielynn) saved it for a special occasion. It was created using images from some of Anna’s biggest Guess advertisements.
He recalls seeing Smith for the first time at the event in 2003, saying that it seemed like yesterday. That he was going up with his camera bags, looking for a good shot.
He added that he wound up with so much more. It’s amazing how one incident can transform one’s life. That’s exactly what this party accomplished for him. How different his life would have been if he hadn’t been there that night and made that connection, if he hadn’t met Anna and had their daughter.
