Sheldon Bream overcame a significant medical challenge while they were still engaged, which Shannon Bream considers to have strengthened their dedication to one another as a couple. They are proud pet parents despite not having any biological children of their own.
He is incredibly supportive of his wife’s profession as a Fox News anchor, and he even helps manage a piece of it.
Sheldon manages the speaking engagements of Fox News hosts and contributors through Bream Speaker Management.
These individuals include Lawrence B. Jone, Jason Chaffetz, and Sheldon’s wife Shannon. Sheldon also manages the speaking engagements of other notable names on the professional speaking circuit.
At the age of 24, Sheldon had a double setback in his life. The loss of his father came first, and then the news that he had a brain tumor was devastating. The unfortunate development occurred at the same time that he proposed to Shannon.
The surgery was successful, but there were significant difficulties, including damage to his facial nerves, which led him to be paralyzed for a few months after the procedure. Around this period, Shannon began to disclose, “The road to rehabilitation was long and arduous.”
Sheldon stated: “There’s no denying that this was a challenging period in my life, but because to the wonderful support system that I had with [Shannon], my mom, and the rest of my family, I was able to get through it.”
After their very first date, Sheldon made the decision to marry Shannon. Sheldon, who was still an undergraduate at the time, announced to his housemates the day before Valentine’s Day in 1993 that he was going to marry Shannon.
After making her way down the aisle, the future news anchor turned around to look at the congregation and saw that the Bream family members were all sobbing. This caused her to become concerned that they did not like her. However, her husband reassured her that they weep at all weddings, but that this one was especially sad since it came so shortly after the passing of his father.
Sheldon was asked by Shannon, in jest, what the secret is to their long marriage, and he responded in all seriousness “Fighting nice… not fighting… just fighting nice. When we do dispute, however, we do it in a manner that is never in any way harmful to the other person.”
In 2020, on the occasion of the couple’s 25th wedding anniversary, she posted a picture from their special day along with the following caption: “God blessed me beyond measure when He gave me Shel.”
The pair enjoys the great outdoors together with their dogs, participating in activities such as swimming, hiking, and sailing in their spare time. Both of their canine companions, Biscuit the white Labrador and Oscar the tiny Bernedoodle, have social media profiles of their own.
They do not have any of their own children, but they are godparents to other people’s children. They endured the harsh cold of Parris Island in order to witness their godson’s graduation from Marine Corps boot camp in January 2019, which took place there.
