According to reports, Kevin Costner’s ex-wife is defying the conditions of their divorce and prenuptial agreement by remaining in their $145 million estate.
TMZ claims Costner’s ex-wife Christine had 30 days from the time of the divorce filing to vacate the marital home. She missed the deadline since she is still living in the house even though she submitted the paperwork on May 1.
Christine, 49, is allegedly staying there in an attempt to get Costner, 68, to give in to her “various financial demands.”
According to reports, the Dances With Wolves star has paid out to his ex-wife more than the $1 million stipulated by their prenuptial agreement. A witness claimed to the publication, “He has gone above and beyond what the prenup specified.”

Legal filings acquired by TMZ state that in addition to promising to pay $30,000 per month for Christine’s rent, Costner has also offered to donate $10,000 towards her relocating fees.
After 18 years of marriage beginning in 2004, a spokesman for the Yellowstone actor revealed to People that the pair had filed for divorce on April 11 because to irreconcilable differences.
Costner has filed for shared custody of the couple’s two boys and daughter in response to Christine’s divorce suit. Spousal maintenance, property division, and legal expenses were all laid out in the prenuptial agreement.
Among the “separate property” listed by Costner’s legal team is “miscellaneous jewellery and other personal effects; earnings and accumulations of Respondent before marriage, during marriage, and from and after the date of separation; [and] there are additional separate property assets and obligations of each party as mandated by the parties’ Premarital Agreement.”
Paragraph 9.A. of the couples’ Premarital Agreement also provided that “Petitioner to vacate Respondent’s separate property residences.”

In May, Costner’s representatives issued a statement saying, “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.” It wasn’t something he actively pursued, and if he had the power to do so, he’d make a change.
According to a source close to the family, although though Costner didn’t want to seek a divorce, he knew his wife was unhappy. However, Christine reportedly became resentful of Costner’s frequent absences from the Santa Barbara residence because of his acting commitments.
“His absence has been very hard for her,” the informant stated. Christine doesn’t want him to overcommit to anything else. Since last year, he has been preoccupied with making Horizon. She felt quite negatively about it.
