Military families are well-known for making the ultimate sacrifice. It is never easy for soldiers to put their lives on the line on the battlefield or to be separated from their loved ones for long periods of time. Decca Records wished to pay tribute to the Armed Forces families’ efforts in 2013. As a result, they conducted a talent search for UK Armed Forces families. Children with a parent or sibling serving in the UK or overseas were excluded from the search.
Thousands of children submitted for the hunt, according to The Daily Mail, and the number of applicants was reduced to 60. From this group, 11 people advanced to the finals. The Poppy Girls are a group of five young women that have a lot of talent.
Megan Adams, Florence Ransom, Bethany Davey, Charlotte Mellor, and Alice Milburn were among the five females at the time. The Poppy Girls performed a song composed by Regina Spektor, an American singer. The song’s title is The Call (No Need To Say Goodbye).
During the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance, the hauntingly beautiful song was played for the first time. Queen Elizabeth II was one of the VIP attendees at this opulent event.
On the second Sunday in November, the Festival of Remembrance remembers the end of World War I. Musical performances, religious services, and the laying of wreaths and poppies are among the events planned to commemorate the day.

The Poppy Girls put on a stunning performance as part of the special event. However, just when the audience thought things couldn’t get much better, something truly wonderful occurred when one of the Poppy Girls was reunited with her military father, as shown in the video below.
