Meryl Streep is one of the most recognisable faces in the entertainment industry. The actress has had a successful career spanning many decades.

In her personal life, Streep is a devoted mother to her three children. And now that they’re all grown up, the sight of her eldest daughter will make you double take…

Meryl Streep is an actress with a low-profile private life. The actress’s career in Hollywood took off in the 1970s. She was also involved in a romance with a man she met at the theatre.

She initially met John Cazale while she was in her twenties. As early as the age of 27, she moved in with Cazale, then 41.

He was a popular person in his day, and even then-famous people like Al Pacino had nothing but praise for Cazale.

Reports indicate that when Streep and Cazale first met in Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, it was love at first sight.

The actress seldom discusses her private life, although she has said that Cazale “wasn’t like anybody I’d ever met.”

They moved into Cazale’s Tribeca apartment not long thereafter. They lived together happily for a while until they went their separate ways to pursue their own careers in show business.

In May of 1977, however, Cazale became very unwell and had to visit a doctor immediately, putting an end to his performing career.

A few days later, he was given the terminal lung cancer diagnosis. The cancer had spread to other organs, therefore his prognosis was not good.

Al Pacino was one of the few people who could be relied upon to have an accurate assessment of Cazale’s health.

To the extent where he showed up to some of his own appointments. In March of 1978, Cazale was taken ill and died in the hospital. Streep remained at his side throughout it all.

Streep reported the incident to Cazale’s brother, who promptly asked her to leave the house. Since she had nowhere to go, Streep went to her brother Harry for help.

He put her in touch with his friend Don Gummer, who was in Pakistan at the time. Gummer let Streep stay at his flat, and the two later began writing to one another.

After falling in love, they made the rapid decision to commit to one other. They tied the knot in 1978 and have been husband and wife ever since.

The couple’s almost 44 years of marriage is remarkable by Hollywood standards. Gummer, who works as a sculptor, takes great pride in his beautiful wife and loves it when others comment on her.

The actress and Gummer are parents to four children. Her firstborn was a son named Henry Wolfe Gummer in 1979. He’s also an actor and musician.

She’s now an actress like her famous mother was. She is known for her roles on series including The Good Wife, Emily Owens, M.D., and Elementary.

She has her mother’s identical features. Grace Jane Gummer, Streep’s third child, was born in 1986. As with her famous mother and elder sister.
