Lana Del Rey has been praised on social media after fans spotted her working at a Waffle House in Alabama.

Surprising footage has surfaced online, showing the 38-year-old 'Born To Die' singer working behind the counter at the restaurant on North Court Street in downtown Florence.

Not much has been revealed about the songstress' sudden leap into the hospitality industry, however, in the clip she is seen donning the uniform - complete with name tag - and telling someone to be careful while filming inside.

"Oh look at this guy! Oh god, Charlie don’t film him without his permission," the 'West Coast' singer - whose full name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant - can be heard saying.

Upon seeing the video, many supporters flooded the comment section with commendations for the successful singer. One devoted fan wrote: "This why she will forever be my queen + she writes some of the best songs of all time."

Another person remarked: "I love that she lives her life however she wants," while a third user chimed in and said: "HELPP she's so iconic for this."

And, a fourth user quipped: "Employee of the month right there."

An Alabama resident named Karina Cisneros Juarez shared the experience of meeting Del Rey on Facebook, along with a selfie of the pair together, according to local website AL.com.

"To say I am ecstatic is an understatement!!!" Juarez posted on the social media platform, per the outlet. "I have been a huuuge fan of Lana Del Rey for over a decade, so meeting her today was truly insane."

Juarez also spoke to the publication about the bizarre moment, and said that the 'Summertime Sadness' hitmaker was "wearing a uniform and everything".

"It was a bit surreal. I just told her how much I loved her music and her work in general. She was super lovely, and incredibly nice," she added.

While it is not clear why Del Rey was working at the fast food chain, many online users have claimed that she was gifted the uniform and name badge by staff so she decided to get into the spirit of it all and give waiting tables a try.

However, the 'Say Yes To Heaven' singer's fans weren't surprised by her working at Waffle House as while accepting Variety’s Artist of the Decade Award in 2021, Del Rey noted that she was "very flexible" and had experienced "other job opportunities" away from music.

The singer said that she had been "very lucky to follow my muse for the last 18 years," explaining: "Sometimes that has taken me super far away from music into other mediums and other job opportunities that have nothing to do with the arts at all."

"I'm very flexible and what I've come to understand is that if you follow what you’re interested in, you’ll end up being the most creative in that field," she said. "Even if you get a 9-5 after you got the decade award, you need to do what feels right."
