The athlete attended the University of Southern Mississippi and was a decorated student-athlete during her time of attendance. She won the 2011 NCAA Championship long jump event before shifting her career focus to sprinting.

In 2014, Bowie wowed the world when she won the silver medal in the 100-meter dash at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She went on to win a bronze medal in the 100 meters at the 2015 World Championships and then took home the gold medal in the event in 2017.

However, she was widely recognized for her talents during the 2016 Olympic Games when she took three medals, including one bronze, one silver, and one gold

Given her substantial talents on the track, the running world is devastated to see such a bright young athlete gone from the world too soon.
