This occurs in just one in every eight million births. She’s a kid who’s blown the minds of doctors all across the globe.
Nothing like this has ever happened to them, and right now they are sobbing tears of joy. She has to be the oddest kid on the planet. That is why!
Although every kid is special in his or her own way, Lucy Marie Perkins tends to stand out a little bit. When she was born.
She joined the ranks of the approximately 8 million Americans who share a birthdate with both of their parents.
Lucy’s parents, Caitlin and Tom Perkins, share a birthday: August 16th. Caitlin’s due date was in August.
So they made jokes about the possibility that their daughter might be born on the same day. At the moment, they had no notion that it would really happen.
Request more information! On Wednesday, Caitlin’s obstetrician, Dr. Brad Robinson, announced the baby’s unusual delivery on Facebook with the words “This is unbelievable!” since both Caitlin and her husband were there for the birth.
To ask another person about their birthday, “Can you tell me who else’s birthday is right now on August 16?” In fact, Lucy was born yesterday, the same day as her parents!
They decided it would be great to spend their birthdays together, so Caitlin and Tom, both of Dirranband in South West Queensland, set out to find a suitable venue.
At 39 weeks pregnant, Caitlin expected Lucy to arrive any day, but the little sweetheart had other plans.
The jubilant mum said, “When my water broke, I said ‘no’ because I said no.” Transported to Brisbane’s Greenslopes Private Hospital, Caitlin is in good hands. 3.3 kilogrammes was Lucy’s weight.
Dr. Robinson, who has worked as an obstetrician for almost a decade, claims that the day Lucy was born is one of her most memorable experiences.
“I’m lucky to have a job that allows me to take off work on holidays,” he said, “but today was incredible.”
The midwife called me at 2:15 a.m. to tell me that Caitlin’s water had burst, and I couldn’t have been happier.
