Hannah has had crushes and interests, but she has never had a steady relationship. As she put it, “I hadn’t met anybody that I really wanted that much time with.”

Hannah also demonstrates how she helps Shane undress by carrying him to the sofa.

Throughout their conversation, Shane made it plain to Hannah that he need assistance in all facets of his life. She really wanted to be able to take care of him so that they could be independent.

 

Because to his disability, Shane is frequently mistaken for a mother or a caregiver’s son or daughter. “When they ask, I answer, ‘No, this is my wife.’ People’s mouths drop open in awe as they exclaim, “Good for you!”

When it comes to sticking with Shane, though, Hannah feels that she never gets enough credit. Their tone suggested to her that Shane was a “terrible choice,” .

And her husband confirmed her suspicions by saying that he is aware of the common belief that persons with disabilities “don’t have any value.”

I’ve always had a thick skin. If it weren’t for my sense of humour and sarcasm, I suppose I’d be always miserable.

To prevent non-disabled men from caressing Hannah’s shoulders, Shane says humorously, “A non-disabled guy may walk up to Hannah and start looking her. If you want to go have sex, I’ll simply say, “Hey.”

Yes, I know it sounds unromantic to the uninitiated, but please trust us on this. When I ask that question, the romance begins.
