Simon Cowell has sparked concerns from his fans after appearing "unrecognizable" in a new video promoting Britain's Got Talent.

The 63-year-old TV personality is known for his stern approach to popular talent shows such as The X Factor and America's Got Talent.

He recently appeared in a video encouraging people to audition for the last series of Britain's Got Talent. However, it wasn't his call for talented hopefuls that caught fans' attention, but his smooth complexion, luminous white teeth, and enhanced features.

In the short clip, the TV mogul said: "I always say on this show, two or three minutes can change your life. And it has. And maybe this time it's gonna be you. So please audition now for next year's season and I look forward to meeting you."

It wasn't long until fans took to their social media to write things like: "Holy moly I nearly didn't recognize him then", and: "What has happened to this poor chap's face. And hair?"

A third person even said: "He's not looked right since he crashed that motorbike bless him," and a fourth added: "Looks as though he’s lost quite [a] bit of weight as well."

The Daily Mail reported that the famous judge lost 20 lbs over the last two years due to changing his lifestyle completely after injuring his back in 2020 when he crashed his electric bike near his Malibu home. Cowell suffered complications from surgery to fuse his vertebrae and this required him to be bedbound for about six months.

The star now has a regular sleep and exercise regime. He reportedly walks 40 miles per week and has rearranged his entire schedule to ensure he only starts meetings after 9:00AM, rather than hold conferences into the early hours of the morning like he used to.

A source also shared more details about the star's lifestyle with the publication, stating: "Simon said how he hasn't worn trainers as much as this in 20 years. He feels fitter than ever before and is keeping to a normal routine rather than being on the phone until into the early hours of the morning."

Back in 2020, Cowell - who is a regular smoker and drinker - shared details about his healthy lifestyle on the Ellen DeGeneres show and recalled asking his doctor what he needed to give up to improve his health.

"I went to see this doctor in London and we did some tests, and then a month later he said 'You have the worst diet I've ever met from any patient,'" The X Factor star told the host. "It's pretty much all the things I loved that I can't now eat. So no dairy, no sugar, no bread, no gluten, no red meat.

"I've gotta be honest with you, it was easier than I thought. And part of the reason I did it was because Eric [his son] is five this year so I realized that if I didn't sort myself out physically I wouldn't be able to catch up with him," he added.
