Country singer Toby Keith recently came out to announce that he has been battling stomach cancer since the second part of last year, but that he has completed treatment and will soon be returning to the stage.
Keith used his verified Twitter and Instagram accounts to announce his cancer diagnosis to the public. He said he was given a stomach cancer diagnosis in the autumn of 2017.
He shared his thoughts and emotions about his six-month fight against cancer in a piece he authored.
He told his followers that he was undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation for cancer. In addition to relaxing, recovering from his sickness, and spending time with his loved ones, he emphasised all of this in his statement.

The performance was set for the Ohio State Fair on July 28, but there has been no confirmation as to whether or not it would go on as planned, be rescheduled, or be cancelled.
