The stumbling block in his mother’s youth:- Justin Bieber’s early musical ventures were supervised by Pattie Mallette, a Canadian playwright and film producer in her forties.

Pattie gave birth to Justin when she was 17 and feeling down and out about her lack of a significant other.

Mallette said, “I was first molested when I was three years old, and from then on, s**ual abuse and violence dominated my childhood.”

I had been sexually assaulted so often that, as the years passed, it became normalized. It’s a strange union of knowing something is wrong and yet finding it all too familiar and mundane.

 

She started drinking, using weed, and taking acid when she was just 14 years old. Furthermore, she began shoplifting.

They kicked her out because she vandalized a campus bathroom by starting a fire there. She was just 15 when she first started seeing Jeremy Bieber.

But they ended up staying together for four whole years. She left home when she was 16 and has been surviving off of a combination of small-time theft and drug promotion ever since.

Through it all, she was lonely, sad, and contemplating suicide. At 17, she made a failed attempt at suicide that placed her in a mental institution. She became a Christian after the experience.

After Mallette was released from the hospital, she reached out to friends from her pre-Christian days.

 

She has also resumed her communications with Jeremy Bieber. The couple finally became pregnant six months later.

Mallette encouraged her son’s musical talent after he showed an interest in it for two years. When Justin was a teenager.

 

She entered him in the Stratford Star talent event, where he sang a cover of “So Sick” by Ne-Yo and came in second.

Mallette recorded her son’s performance and posted it on YouTube so her friends and family could see it; she proceeded to do this for subsequent performances as her kid became famous online.

 

Mallette encouraged her son’s musical interests after he showed interest in it for two years. She entered little Justin into the 2007 Stratford Star talent show.

Where he performed “So Sick” by Ne-Yo and came in second. Mallette recorded her kid’s performance and shared.

It with family and friends on YouTube; she continued to do so for subsequent shows as her son became a viral sensation.

Revell, a Christian publishing house, released her autobiography titled “Nowhere but Up” in September of 2012.
