Reba McEntire Gets Terrible News

Everything that Reba McEntire touches turns to gold.

Everything that Reba McEntire touches turns to gold. Everything except the TV show she was on called Big Sky. The TV show is now the latest program to get canceled after it was given the ax by the network ABC. The drama, which recently made the addition of Reba McEntire to the cast, has been canceled now that Reba is transitioning to working as a coach and judge on The Voice.

In addition to Reba’s role on the program, the show Big Sky was headed up by actors Katheryn Winnick, 45, and Kylie Bunbury, 34. Although ABC has done away with Big Sky, the program might still have a future if it gets picked up by A+E Studios – although no decision has been made on whether the show will move over to the production company.

Reba appeared in the show’s third and final season, which was entitled Big Sky: Deadly Trails. Now, 68-year-old Reba McEntire will be replacing country legend, Blake Shelton, 46, after he abandons his longtime post on The Voice.

In addition to Reba’s new role on Big Sky, 45-year-old actor Jensen Ackles has also joined the program for its third and final season. Ackles was playing a newly appointed sheriff on Big Sky before the program got the ax by network ABC. The drama suffered extremely low ratings during its final season of the show, so the network ABC felt it was better to cancel the program rather than invest more money into something that was failing so miserably despite Reba McEntire’s Midas touch.

For season three, ABC only aired thirteen episodes of Big Sky, which was five fewer episodes than the first two seasons. They decided to cancel it early rather than spend the money to put out more content for Blue Sky because it was doing so poorly in the ratings.

In addition to the cancelation of Big Sky, ABC also canceled Hilary Swank’s Alaska Daily and Milo Ventimiglia’s The Company You Keep.

Although neither Katheryn nor Kylie has made a public comment about the cancelation of their main source of income – Big Sky – both actors seem to be busy with their schedules. When the show’s cancellation was announced, Katheryn Winnick was actually across the pond in Ukraine for the UNITED24 conference, which was launched by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an effort to raise donations for the war-torn country, which was first attacked by Putin’s evil Russian forces in February 2022.

“I was overwhelmed by the destruction in Irpin, Ukraine while visiting the area with United24,” the actress wrote on May tenth. “Seeing it with my own eyes made me realize how many families are suffering. All lives matter.”

Meanwhile, Kylie Bunbury has been on vacation in Fiji with her husband, Jon-Ryan Alan Riggins, and their seventeen-month-old son, Rumi.

Big Sky was created by 67-year-old David E. Kelley based on The Highway series of books by C.J. Box.
