Toby Keith Cancels Shows and Reveals His Health Struggles
It was recently announced that country music superstar Toby Keith was diagnosed with stomach cancer in the autumn of 2021.
Since then, Keith has been receiving therapy, and he just updated his social media followers on his progress.
I’ve spent the past six months getting chemo, radiation, and surgery,” Keith wrote to his followers. As of right now, everything seems to be OK. I need space to take a deep breath and recharge my batteries.
Despite his health problems, Keith thanked his friends and supporters and emphasised how much he was looking forward to spending time with his loved ones.
He promised his followers that he will be back on stage shortly. The future of his subsequent concerts, though, was still up in the air. Keith has a concert scheduled on June 17 in Wheaton, Illinois, according to his website.
The Ohio State Fair confirmed the cancellation of Keith’s performance scheduled for July 28 after his first statement.
Elaine Schock, Keith’s spokesperson, said that more tour dates may be scrapped, but she couldn’t say how many.
In addition to providing an update on his health, Keith’s website also promoted the release of his most recent album.
