The tragic news was confirmed by the Massachusetts State Police in a statement issued on Monday afternoon.
According to ABC affiliate WCVB-TV, the young child’s life ended tragically when he was discovered dead along the shoreline of Castle Island, more than a mile away from the park where he had been reported missing 17 hours earlier.
Mohamed went missing, and this sparked a massive search effort involving many authorities. Together, the Boston Authorities, Massachusetts Environmental Police, Boston Fire, and Boston EMS, as well as the Massachusetts State Police (MSP), searched for the child.
