The miraculous case of a pregnant momma pig

The miraculous case of a pregnant sow. After she went into labor, her fever rose a lot, and everyone thought she would not survive. The owner expected the sow to give birth to a few chicks, but when he looked better, he was shocked.

Emma’s piglet was brought to the Apricot Lane farm in California in a very serious condition. She was very weak and suffering from several diseases, but she was pregnant. When he received it, the owner of the farm called the veterinarian to consult him and to stabilize the animal’s condition, but his news was not going to be very good. After a consultation with the sow, the veterinarian told the farmer that she would give birth to no more than six pups and then die. The doctor’s words turned out to be wrong, because on the night the animal went into labor, she gave birth to 17 piglets. Of the 17 piglets, unfortunately, only 13 survived, the other 4 having conditions incompatible with life.
After a long labor, the sow Emma was exhausted. Her condition was very unstable due to the problems she had and the long and painful labor.

Farmer Chester was shocked at how many chicks gave birth to the piglet but also worried about Emma’s condition. After exhaustion, Emma had a very high fever and was showing signs of resignation. Then Chester thought he should remove the chicks to make room for the sow in the hope that she would recover.

Emma’s condition was getting worse after the farm owner took the chicks next to her. He thought that if the sow had died, the people on the farm would have had to take care of raising the piglets and also breastfeed them several times a day, which would have meant a very large amount of work and time that wouldn’t have helped him much.

Seeing that Emma could not even get to her feet, Chester decided to call the vet again. According to Chester, the vet suggested she take the chicks back to her. Chester did just that and took the chicks back to her, and then a miracle happened: “If I hadn’t been there and someone had told me, I wouldn’t have believed it!”

The miracle happened when the farmer brought the chicks back to Emma. Just as Emma saw her chicks again, she got up and managed to eat. Her condition had improved instantly. Chester relates that he wished the sow’s survival was theirs, but he is aware that only her purpose, to procreate and care for her piglets, managed to save her. The farmer also says that sometimes the things that seem to threaten our lives are, in fact, the only things that can save us and even improve us.

In this case, the happiness of becoming a mother and the joy of seeing her babies empowered Emma and made her fight for them.
