At the age of 32, Courtney Ann Sanford was considered by many to be an experienced driver. There was nothing to suspect, however, on that cursed day, something terrible happened!

After tens of minutes on the road, she started playing her favorite song on the radio – “Happy” by Pharell Williams. She was apparently in a very good mood… Besides, it was her favorite song. So, without thinking, she put her hand on the phone, took a selfie, and posted it on Facebook. “This song makes me happy! the young woman wrote, under the photo.

It was the last thing she did! The next second, the woman died! And that’s because she did something that most drivers do: when she typed on the phone, she didn’t pull the car over. She continued on her way, not knowing that it would be the last second of her life!

Her car crashed into a truck. It had only 60 km / h, but the impact was so strong that it was thrown into the ditch, and from there, into a tree on the side of the road. Later, the car caught fire, and the young woman, trapped in the car, had no escape – she burned alive, leaving behind a grieving family.

After the police notified her family, they realized that the young woman had posted something on Facebook just at the time of the accident. When they looked in the phone that they managed to retrieve from the scene, intact, the law enforcement officers saw that the young woman had written on Facebook just in the minute when the tragic accident took place.

“The posting was made at 8.33. At 8.34, we were called to intervene on the spot “, said the police officers.
