Formerly one of Hollywood’s most well-known actors, Julia Stiles has admitted that she might never again be a well-known face in the industry.

Since the success of 10 Things I Hate About You in 1999, actress Julia Stiles has been marginalized in mainstream Hollywood.

The partly based on The Taming of the Shrew high school rom-com launched Stiles, Heath Ledger, and even Joseph Gordon-Levitt to celebrity. After that, Ledger worked on The Dark Knight, his final movie before passing away suddenly in 2008. On the other side, Stiles appeared to gradually lose favor in Hollywood.

Fans anticipated Julie Stiles’ career to soar when she first became well-known in 2000. She made an appearance in three films in 2000 and four more in 2001, including anchoring Saturday Night Live for a while. Stiles’ work, meanwhile, was never as well-known as Ledger’s. Did Stiles stop acting in big-budget movies, or did mainstream Hollywood just lose interest?

Previously upon a time, Julia Stiles was the “it” actress. However, following a string of box office duds and a shift to Broadway, Julia didn’t seem to be appearing in as many big-budget movies as she once did. Although she made an effort to reclaim her status in Hollywood, Stiles was no longer in directors’ good graces and took a break from acting to establish a baby. Julia was given the role of the lead in the popular program Riviera after giving birth to her first child, Strummer Cook. Julia quickly got back into the swing of things and landed roles in The God Committee and Hustlers by Jennifer Lopez.

February 20, 2022 revision: Julia Stiles confirmed the arrival of Arlo, her second child, in the beginning of 2022. Just a few months earlier, when she walked the red carpet at the Humans film premiere, she made her first pregnancy announcement. Stiles will undoubtedly take a break from acting to recuperate from giving baby and to spend time with her family, but she won’t be gone for very long. “Having my attention focused on my baby has made me a better performer because I don’t return home every night thinking on every small scene,” the actress said to People after the birth of her first child. Fans may be confident that Stiles is not planning to leave up her lucrative acting career anytime soon, even though she presumably won’t be rushing back to work anytime soon.

on April 13, 2022, an update: Julia Stiles and Preston Cook have been raising their sons Strummer, 4, and Arlo, a newborn, for the past few months. The couple is still very happy together. Stiles has taken a break from acting but has continued to spend time with her husband and kids.

Orphan: First Kill, the follow-up to the well-liked 2009 horror film Orphan, will be her next motion picture. She now appears and voices Olivia Kullersen in the DreamWorks animated film Dragons: The Nine Realms. Therefore, it is evident that Stiles does not regret becoming an actor, even though she is making a little more of an effort to avoid the spotlight and even though there are some choices the actress regrets making early in her career.

After 10 Things I Hate About You, Stiles acted in Save the Last Dance with Sean Patrick Thomas and Kerry Washington, Down to You with Freddy Prinze Jr., and A Guy Thing with Jason Lee.

Although Stiles’ past movies from the 2000s went poorly at the box office, Save the Last Dance did well. According to Rotten Tomatoes, Down to You received negative reviews for its “terrible script” and “bland, by-the-numbers narrative.” The box office failure A Guy Thing failed to recoup its production costs.

The Jason Bourne movies brought Stiles greater fame, but her portrayal of Nicky was insufficient to reestablish her among the Hollywood elite. As a result, starting in 2003, Stiles proceeded to work on numerous unconventional projects.

After making one final appearance in Jason Bourne in 2016, Stiles was cast as Georgina Clios in Riviera, a British television series that debuted on Sky Atlantic. The program was so popular that it debuted in 2019 on the American channel Ovation.

Although Riviera isn’t very well-known in the United States, many fans think that if it were made available on more streaming services, the show would get more viewers. Nevertheless, it has a sizable following in the UK and was rated one of “the greatest TV drama series to watch in Autumn 2020” by iNews UK.

Alongside Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Lili Reinhart, and Keke Palmer, Stiles also landed a role in the 2019 film Hustlers.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that Stiles requested a chance to participate in the movie in any way from director Lorene Scafaria. As a result, Stiles was given the chance to portray journalist Elizabeth, which he did not take for granted.
