When Hugh Laurie was seen out and about over the weekend with a long and bushy beard, his appearance was unrecognizable.

The 62-year-old actor, well known for his roles in Blackadder and House, appeared to be in a totally different frame of mind than usual when he was taking in the low-key event.

While eagerly anticipating the premiere of his new sitcom Why Didn’t They Ask Evans, Hugh was seen on Sunday walking his pet dog. When Hugh was seen, he was sporting a pair of dark jeans and sneakers.

Hugh basked in the sun, keeping warm with a navy pullover and a dark blue beanie. The combination of the two allowed him to keep from becoming too cold.

Based on the renowned 1934 Agatha Christie book of the same name, the intriguing murder mystery stars an all-star cast. The same name was used for publishing the book.

I loved this book when I was a youngster, and I still do, he said. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I first really appreciated the beauty of the fundamental mystery, and they haven’t totally gone down since.

Since then, I’ve grown to love the ensemble of characters more and more, and I think it’s an enormous honor to have been given the chance to tell their story again in this way.

I declared, “I’ll do a tie for the shoot, and I’ll give it everything I’ve got.”
