Maureen McCormick is most famous for her portrayal of Marcia Brady in the beloved television series “The Brady Bunch.” She was just 13 years old when the show premiered.

The iconic American sitcom aired for five seasons from 1969 to 1974. McCormick was 18 years old when the final season concluded.

Years later, the former child star returned to the role of Marcia in the spin-off series “The Brady Brides,” which followed the TV reunion movie “The Brady Girls Get Married.”

McCormick reunited with her co-star Eve Plumb, who played Jan Brady in the original show.

Recently, McCormick celebrated her 67th birthday on August 5, 2023. To mark the occasion, she allowed her disabled brother to blow out a candle on her birthday cake.

She shared a heartwarming video on Instagram, showing her brother struggling to blow out the candle. She asked if they could do it together, and he agreed. They were applauded afterward.

In the caption, the Los Angeles native expressed her gratitude for the birthday wishes and described it as a special night. One of her followers commented, “The sweetest video ever. HBD.”

McCormick also shared another touching post on July 10, 2023, featuring her and her brother enjoying ice cream on a sunny day.

McCormick became emotional when discussing her brother, Dennis, who was born with an intellectual disability, during her appearance on the British reality series “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!” in February 2015.

She tearfully revealed her desire to advocate for people with disabilities through her participation in the show. McCormick disclosed that when Dennis was born, their parents were advised to place him in a facility, but they refused.

She developed a passion for helping individuals like her brother while growing up. During her time on the show, she competed on behalf of the non-profit organization Achieve Australia, which supports people with disabilities.

The veteran actress explained that the organization assists individuals like Dennis in integrating into society and participating in community activities.

Tragically, their mother passed away from cancer, and Dennis ended up in a care facility for people with mental disabilities.

Despite the challenges her family faced, McCormick found love and stability in her marriage to actor Michael Cummings, whom she met at a concert in 1985.

The couple’s whirlwind romance led to marriage, and they have remained together ever since. McCormick attributed the longevity of their marriage to their shared faith and love for each other.

They welcomed a daughter named Natalie in May 1989. Despite having a famous mother, Natalie leads a private life and reportedly pursues a career in business, owning her own yoga business.

While Natalie prefers to keep a low profile, McCormick often shares glimpses of her family life on social media, showcasing her love for her husband and daughter.
