Her name may not ring a bell, but there is certainly no person out there who doesn’t find Lacey Chabert’s face familiar.
Chabert gained prominence with the role of Claudia on Party of Five, which she portrayed throughout all six seasons of the show. She also made guest appearances on a number of series and lent her voice to characters in both films and TV shows. Nowadays, the actress is heavily involved with Hallmark productions. Throughout the years, she has starred in numerous films for the channel and has become associated with some of its most popular franchises.
One of the most famous films she’s been part of is Mean Girls in which she starred alongside Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams. Other feature film credits include Lost in Space, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, and Slightly Single in L.A. But despite her success, she has maintained a low-key personal life, steering clear of tabloid headlines, and projecting a wholesome image as a mother.
Her association with Mean Girls defines much of her mainstream career. Years after the film’s release, Chabert admitted in a 2014 interview with Entertainment Weekly that fans frequently reach out to her with quotes from the movie. But she doesn’t mind that. On the contrary, as of December 2018, she expressed enthusiasm about the possibility of taking part in a sequel, telling Star magazine that she “would love to be a part of it.”
As per reports, Chabert has a net worth of $4 million, which compared to other stars isn’t much.
Despite her standout performances in films like Mean Girls and a number of other successes, Chabert’s subsequent films haven’t attracted the same level of acclaim. This lack of consistent box office success may be a deterrent for casting agents who are hesitant to take a chance on an actress who hasn’t had a blockbuster hit in over a decade.
But it’s not just Chabert who somehow disappeared from the big screen. A number of actors and actresses who were once our fan-favorite are almost nowhere to be seen nowadays.
