Sian Scale, 28, from Melbourne, died this week after a long battle with a rare form of cancer that could not be cured.

The Peter McCallum center, which is close to Melbourne’s central business district, was where Sian was getting care.

She was signed to the famous Australian modeling agency Chadwick and has worked with Marc Jacobs, Burberry, and Chanel, among other big names in the fashion world.

In a statement, her family said, “She was determined and strong, and she had such grace in navigating the hardest year of her life with such acceptance, optimism, and vulnerability.”

They also said that Sian was “very generous, loving, kind, fun, adventurous, and modest” and that she had never complained or asked, “Why me?”

She grew up in Mansfield, which is about 124 miles northeast of Melbourne.

People who knew her said she felt at ease in both the country and the city. They remembered taking her straight from a camping trip to the Melbourne Fashion Festival one time.

The family wrote, “She was always up for trying new things and doing things her own way.”

“Sian quickly became known as a friendly and easygoing person. Her kind heart and natural beauty made her a model to watch in her home country.”

Sian has been a model all over the world and has been in Vogue and Vanity Fair magazines.

“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved model Sian Scale,” Chadwick said in a statement.

“Sian was a unique and bright light in our world who always did what she thought was right.”

“We will all miss her so much that words can’t describe it. Her amazing photography will remember her forever.”

Sian said she wanted people to give blood for her.

She said, “If anyone wants to do something in honor of me, give blood. It is the gift of life.”

On social media, people have paid tribute to the model. One person wrote, “Incredibly sad to hear this news today.”

“Sian was beautiful on the inside and out.” Sending lots of love to her family and friends.

“Sian was a joy to be around,” said someone else. We’re sorry for her family, friends, and the fashion community. “Rest in peace, sweet angel.”
