Ozzy Osbourne, who was taken to the intensive care unit after being diagnosed with an upper-respiratory!nfection that threatened pneumonia, is making a steady recovery at home.

RollingStone reports that the rock singer has been released from the intensive care unit and is breathing on his own, putting to rest worries that his condition might deteriorate in recent days.

According to Sharon Osbourne, who appeared on The Talk to thank fans for their support, Ozzy is doing OK

Osbourne, the 70-year-old leader of the band Black Sabbath, had caught the flu, which swiftly developed into a serious case of bronchitis.

The possibility that it may progress into pneumonia, which, given his age, could have been fatal, was a major source of concern.

Osbourne was transported to the critical care unit, where he would be intensively monitored by physicians while his fans across the globe held their breath.

There was supposed to be a tour throughout the UK and Europe, but it seems like he’s better today. His wife Sharon said, “He’s doing good, he really is.”

Also, a great thanks to everyone who has sent their well wishes my way. The feedback he’s received has left him speechless, and that’s bittersweet because he’s happy and sad at the same time.

Rolling Stone reports that Osbourne will restart the aforementioned tour sometime this autumn. Fans should hang on to their tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled performances.

Hhowever, refunds are available if desired Let’s hope the rock star of renown Ozzy Osbourne gets well soon! The Prince of Darkness is in our hearts and minds.
