MARRIED At First Sight star Andrew Jury has died. He was 33 years old.
One of the first grooms on the first season of the show in New Zealand in 2017 was the builder.
In an Instagram post, his co-stars Brett and Angel Renall, as well as Benjamin Blackwell, shared some sad news.
“It’s with the heaviest hearts we’ve come together to acknowledge the passing of Andrew Jury,” the group said.
“We had the absolute pleasure of filming and participating in a show which leaves us intricately linked for a lifetime.”
Then it said: “…Andrew was always friendly and the life of the party during our shared experience and he really valued his time on the show.”
They said: “At this time our entire cast wish to send our deepest condolences and love to his family – Ben, Angel, Brett, Vicky, Haydn, Lacey, Claire, Dom, Aaron, Luke, Belinda.”
Daniels, another contestant, said, “Everyone from our series is in shock.”
He went on, “I have no idea what it would be like to lose a son, especially one so young.” He still had a lot of life to live.
The juror was paired with Vicky Gleeson-Stokes, the bride.
After filming was over, they broke up.
Jury was living in Auckland at the time he was cast.
Warner Bros. Discovery, which makes the show, sent its “deepest condolences.”
A spokesperson for WBD told The New Zealand Herald, “WBD takes duty of care very seriously and has protocols in place regarding the wellbeing of cast and crew.”
