According to rumors, Brad Pitt feels “devastated” that his children are abandoning his surname and thinks that their contentious choice was influenced by his ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
We revealed earlier this month that Shiloh, the couple’s eighteen-year-old daughter, filed to have the last name “Pitt” removed, becoming Shiloh Jolie, and that she did so on the day she was officially declared an adult.
Shiloh is one of Jolie and Pitt’s six children, but it seems that there are other children in the family that don’t get along well with their father.
The 15-year-old Vivienne Jolie-Pitt recently made waves when her name appeared on the official Playbill for The Outsiders, a production she had assisted her mother in producing, and appeared in the records under the name Vivienne Jolie rather than Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.
Furthermore, one of Angelina and Brad’s three adopted daughters, Zahara, 19, apparently goes by Zahara Jolie these days. Maddox, 22, the oldest sibling, reportedly does not use the last name “Pitt” either, according to TMZ.
Readers may recall that Son Pax criticized Pitt harshly in a contentious 2020 Instagram post that suddenly resurfaced, saying, “You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell.”
The celebrity actor Brad Pitt has been deeply impacted by the collapse in his relationship with his kids, as reported by Little Things. One insider said, “Brad was devastated by this choice.”
“To him, it was more than a change of name — it was a symbol of a deeper estrangement that has been brewing for years.”
Another person with close familial ties, however, went into detail about how Shiloh handled her name change by hiring a lawyer of her own, emphasizing that it was her decision and her decision alone.

However, Brad has strong concerns that Angelina is the primary cause of his children’s alienation, per the source that Little Things mentioned.
The insider asserted, “He feels that the negative narrative Angelina presents to the kids is a major obstacle in his efforts to reconnect.”
“With Angelina having daily influence over the children, Brad finds it nearly impossible to change their perceptions.”
The celebrities, who were previously collectively branded “Brangelina” by the media, have been embroiled in court disputes and media-fueled arguments since their 2019 divorce. Recently, a number of charges have been made against them.
The former couple is still at war over the sale of a French winery they bought together, and as recently as April of this year, Jolie filed papers in the Los Angeles Superior Court claiming Pitt of physical abuse, a claim he has strenuously rejected.
