Laughing daily isn’t necessarily about forcing yourself to find every joke hilarious, but rather incorporating humor into your life and finding things that tickle your funny bone.

Here’s why it’s a good idea:

Stress relief: A good laugh is like a mini vacation for your body. Laughter reduces stress hormones and can even lower your blood pressure [Mayo Clinic, Stress relief from laughter? It’s no joke].

Mood booster: Laughter triggers the release of feel-good chemicals like endorphins, which can elevate your mood and leave you feeling more positive [Verywell Mind, Health Benefits of Humor and Laughter].

Physical benefits: Laughing exercises your diaphragm and lungs, bringing in more oxygen. It can also ease muscle tension [HelpGuide, Laughter is the Best Medicine].

So how to get your daily dose of laughter?

Spend time with funny people: Surround yourself with friends and family who make you laugh. Sharing humor strengthens social bonds.

Watch comedies or funny videos: There’s a reason why stand-up comedy is so popular! Put on a show or watch some funny clips online.

Find humor in everyday life: Look for the funny side of things, even in small moments. A silly pet antic or a playful banter can brighten your day.

Remember, laughter is subjective. What one person finds funny, another might not. The key is to find humor that resonates with you and incorporate it into your daily life for a lighter and healthier you.

Here’s a joke that will make you laugh so hard!

Johnny is a seventh-grader. He used to question his teacher all the time.

Johnny asked his English teacher one day:

“Why don’t we say some letters with an H like in hour and honor?”

“We don’t ignore them; they’re just silent,” his teacher replied.

Johnny was even more perplexed.

Johnny’s instructor gave him her packed meal during lunch and instructed him to warm it in the cafeteria.

After finishing the food, Johnny returned the empty container to her.

His English instructor:

What happed? His teacher inquired. “Please reheat my food,” I said. “Why are you providing me with a blank container?”

In response, Little Johnny said, “I thought the ‘H’ was silent.”

To all of the English teachers out there.
