Danielle Colby, the star of American Pickers, has lost someone extremely close to her, only days after her dream wedding to Jeremy Scheuch.

Last weekend, the History Channel personality married in Puerto Rico in a fairytale-like ceremony.

Danielle, 48, announced her father-in-law’s passing in an emotional statement on social media Tuesday.

The reality star posted a photo of herself with “Papa John,” her new husband Jeremy’s father.

The picture shows the TV actress sitting on the front porch with her lover, who is holding their small puppy.

His mother and Papa John were seated next to Danielle and her husband. They sadly passed away after the wedding.

She wrote a long letter to Jeremy’s father, saying, “Papa John, you spent your life fighting for and making miracles for the most vulnerable kids in your community.”

“When I first met you, you and your elves had transformed an airline hangar into the North Pole to fulfill a little girl’s canc*r dream. You made her happy, hopeful, and peaceful. “Like the one you gave us.”

“You’ve always been there for me and believed in me even when I didn’t.” I believe in myself, too. Maybe some others around you didn’t think I was good, but you did. “I felt safe in your arms, and you allowed me to open up to you,” she exclaimed.

“Everyone knows that takes a while.” You came all the way from hundreds of miles away to be with us several times, and you opened your doors when we needed your magic to bring us through difficult times,” Danielle explained

“You were always very loving and caring. As someone who did not grow up with holidays, particularly Christmas, you helped me understand them in a fresh light. You never perceived these events as opportunities for you to acquire something. Instead, you saw these as opportunities for others to benefit from your love, acceptance, and kindness.

For years, it was difficult for me to completely open up to you. Some of my best memories include you, your family, and your son Jeremy, who resembles you in so many ways.

“Many thanks for it. Without you, it was difficult to move forward with the wedding. We sobbed a lot because small things reminded us of you.

Danielle’s husband, Jeremy, also made a post with a photo of himself as a child in memory of a deceased family member.

The husband of the American Pickers star was just a child in the ancient photo, which was taken in the front yard with a much younger Papa John.

In the photograph, the retiring artist resembled a small child clothed in a red jacket.

“My father. John Scheuch. From June 28, 1953, until February 19, 2024. Rest in peace, father. “You were the best father I could have asked for.””I am heartbroken,” Jeremy said underneath his photo.

He added in the comments: “I don’t even know what to say right now.” I am thankful I have the best wife by my side through it all, though.”

Danielle left her husband a message of support below the picture, saying, “My heart hurts so much for you and your family right now.” People with the weakest spirits have their aspirations realized because of him.
