Princess Catherine, the Princess of Wales, is noted for her strong will and clear vision of her role in the British royal family. According to royal author and writer Robert Jobson, Catherine set very high expectations when she joined the royal family, especially during her pregnancy with her second child, Princess Charlotte, in 2015.

Jobson’s recent book, *Catherine: The Princess of Wales*, indicates that Catherine created specific “life rules” and communicated them to Queen Elizabeth II and then-Prince Charles. While these guidelines were not defined in any official document, Prince William allegedly pushed for Catherine, noting that she needed time and space to adjust to her new royal role. She underlined the significance of taking maternity leave away from the spotlight and media attention, stating unequivocally that her family will always come first.

Catherine has dedicated her time in the royal family to both her royal duties and her role as mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Since revealing her cancer diagnosis in March, she has kept a quiet profile, focusing on her health and family.

Catherine’s appearances in public following her diagnosis, notably Trooping the Colour in June and Wimbledon in July, were regarded as victorious returns to public life. Despite undergoing treatment, Catherine has made sure that her children have a regular and joyful summer, participating in activities such as horseback riding, swimming, and sleepovers, like they do every year throughout their vacation.

Her dedication to her family has remained unwavering, even while she fights cancer. Catherine is determined not to let her illness influence her children, emphasizing their well-being and protecting them from fear.

Catherine is not anticipated to resume her full royal duties until her medical team clears her. However, her emphasis on youth and family will remain important to her public activity. Meanwhile, King Charles III, who has battled health issues, including treatment for a benign enlarged prostate and cancer earlier this year, has resumed his royal duties on a curtailed schedule.
