The California native broke into the entertainment business at age 7 and quickly became one of the biggest child actors of her generation. After putting her comedic talents on display on All That from 1996 to 2000, she landed her own series, The Amanda Show, which ran from 1999 to 2002.
Bynes’ personal life began to make bigger headlines than her career after she was arrested on suspicion of DUI in April 2012. While she pleaded not guilty, Bynes was charged with two misdemeanor counts of hit-and-run in September 2012.

All That'
"When I was 7, I started taking a comedy class for kids at the Comedy Store in Hollywood," Amanda Bynes told the Los Angeles Times. She was discovered two years later while taking classes at the Laugh Factory. In 1996, Bynes joined the cast of Nickelodeon's sketch comedy series All That.
The Amanda Show'
The All That scene stealer got her own series, The Amanda Show, in 1999. Bynes won the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for Favorite TV Actress three years in a row. During that time, Bynes dated her costar (and future Saturday Night Live cast member) Taran Killam.
