Tammy Slaton is celebrating her latest weight loss milestone.

The 1000-Lb. Sisters star recently announced that she has lost a total of 500 pounds since beginning her journey.

In a TikTok video from August 17th, set to the motivational song “Rise Up” by Andra Day, Tammy reacts to a clip showing her and six other “weight loss warriors” appearing on screen. Text on the video highlights how much weight each person has lost as they move. The video shows that together, they have lost 2,078 pounds while supporting and holding hands with each other.

Tammy wrote in the post, “You ladies are truly amazing, and I’m happy to call you all my friends. I’m so proud of each of you. You’re not just beautiful on the inside, but also on the outside. Don’t ever forget that.”

Tammy, who stars with her sister Amy on the TLC show “1000-Lb. Sisters,” has been open about her health challenges since the show began in January 2020. After having weight loss surgery in July 2022 and spending 14 months in a weight loss rehab center, Tammy has continued to share her weight loss journey on social media and TV. By December 2023, she had lost forty-eight pounds.

Tammy not only talks about her weight loss journey but also how it has helped her mental health.

“Before I went to rehab, I was bitter, unhappy, and very depressed,” she said in a TikTok video in February. “I’ve noticed a lot of personal growth in how I treat others, my family, and in my overall attitude. I smile a lot more now.”

In addition to these changes, Tammy celebrated other accomplishments as well.

“I actually went on rides at Disney World and even rode in a hot air balloon,” she added. “I appreciate life now, whereas before, I hated everything about it.”

In April, she shared a photo of herself at the pool with her friend, psychic medium Haley Michelle. Her openness about her journey has touched her fans, with one person commenting, “Wow! The transformation is incredible! I’m so happy to see how far you’ve come. I may have shed a few tears.”
