Heaven and death are taken on by Arnold Schwarzenegger in his own unique way.

After being questioned by Danny DeVito, 78, “What’s in the future for us” during a lengthy interview for Interview Magazine, the 75-year-old actor brought up the subject.

It makes me think of Howard Stern’s query to me. Governor, tell me what happens to us after we pass away. Nothing, I replied. It’s six feet under you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you,’ he declared.

Although I am not an expert in spiritual matters, Schwarzenegger added, “I remarked, “We don’t know what happens with the soul and all this spiritual stuff, but I know that the body as we see each other now, we will never see each other again like that.”

The former bodybuilder said that while he finds talking about death unsettling, he also believes that heaven is a “fantasy.”

“It sounds wonderful when people say, ‘I will see them again in heaven,’ but the truth is that we won’t run into each other again when we pass away. The sad aspect is that. I’m aware that some people find consolation in death, but I don’t,” he remarked.

Schwarzenegger said he’s lost “15 friends in the last 20 or so years” from the bodybuilding community and that his definition of heaven has changed as a result.

According to him, heaven is where I will place a person I adore, who is kind, generous, and who made a difference in both my life and other people’s lives. “I keep them in a place in my head, like that front row of all of your friends,” the speaker said. And whenever you think of them, you always feel happy.

The former governor of California is also anticipated to be open about his struggles in the new Arnold documentary, a three-part series that starts streaming on Netflix on Wednesday.

The documentary series, according to an official summary, “chronicles Arnold Schwarzenegger’s journey from the countryside of Austria to the highest echelons of the American dream” and includes interviews with Schwarzenegger as well as “friends, foes, costars, and observers.”
