Concerns are mounting about Matt LeBlanc’s health a year after his buddy and former Friends co-star Matthew Perry pa:ss:ed away.

According to sources, LeBlanc, 57, has become increasingly reclusive, leading friends Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox to check in on him on a daily basis.

According to a source with Radar Online, “he’s such a recluse these days” that loved ones rarely hear from him.

Aniston, in particular, has been a constant presence, paying him regular visits and often staying with him overnight to keep him company. She apparently spends her time cooking, watching movies, and having private discussions with him.

LeBlanc, who hasn’t worked on any projects since the Friends reunion in 2021, had a close relationship with Perry. Following Perry’s d3ath, LeBlanc was the first of the cast members to pay tribute, writing an emotional Instagram post in which he reflected on their friendship: “It was an honor to share the stage with you and call you my friend.”

He added, “Spread your wings and fly, brother. You’re finally free.” His heartfelt message simply added to his grief, as he lived near Perry at the time of his d3ath and had close ties with him beyond their roles as Joey and Chandler in Friends.

Though earning an estimated $85 million, LeBlanc’s decision to pull away from the spotlight appears to have heightened concerns for his emotional health, particularly given his reclusive personality.

In previous interviews, he contrasted himself with Joey, saying: “People will always ask if I’m all right because I’m much more low-key and reserved than my character in Friends. They think that I’m depressed or sad… but that’s just not who I am,” according to MSN. However, some are concerned that without any active undertakings, loss and isolation may be taking their toll on him.

Perry’s de:ath in October last year at the age of 54 was attributed to “acute effects of ketamine.” After the acc:ident, five persons were arrested, including Perry’s live-in aide, on charges related to his overdose.

Aniston and Cox continue to encourage LeBlanc during his grief process, ensuring that he has a support network even as he navigates life outside of the spotlight.

Fans and friends alike hope that LeBlanc can find serenity and strength with the support of those around him, albeit his decision to stay away from work may result in a longer road to recovery.

The emotional toll of losing his friend and former co-star is heavy, leaving those close to him concerned but hoping that time and support will bring him comfort.
