In a tragic incident at a live concert, Brazilian rocker Ayres Sasaki, 35, died in an accident on stage. He was electrocuted when a wet fan hugged him during his performance in Salinopolis, Brazil, leaving the audience in shock.
It’s still unknown how the fan got wet, and the police are looking into it. Ayres Sasaki’s aunt, Rita Matos, said, “We’re talking to people who were with him at that time to understand what happened. We will gather all the information and share it with the media.”
The Solar Hotel, where the concert was held, expressed sadness and promised to support the singer’s family fully. They said, “We are dedicated to helping his family and taking the necessary actions.”
Outside of music, Ayres Sasaki was a skilled architect and urban planner. He is survived by his wife, Mariana, whom he married only 11 months ago. Close friend Adriano Freitas said, “He was very charismatic, incredibly talented, and the best singer and guitarist in Belem.”
The music community is deeply saddened by the loss of Ayres Sasaki, a gifted artist whose life ended too soon. May he rest in peace.
