In a TikTok video, teacher Kristin Pitzen joked about removing the American flag from her classroom because it made her feel “uncomfortable.”
Some parents were upset, feeling this taught students to “disrespect” the flag, especially after she suggested they pledge allegiance to the Pride flag instead.
She laughed in the video, saying she had put the American flag away and couldn’t remember where it was.
