Golden Globes 2025 Nominations: See the Complete List

The nominees for the 2025 Golden Globe Awards were announced on Monday, December 9, ahead of the January 2025 ceremony

The list of nominees for the 2025 Golden Globe Awards proves that the stars will be shining bright at the 82nd annual ceremony.

Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut announced the nominations — which honor accomplishments in both film and television — on Monday, December 9.

Nikki Glaser is set to host the awards show for the first time on Sunday, January 5. The comedian, 40, noted in an August press release that it was “an exciting yet challenging gig because it’s live, unpredictable and in front of Hollywood’s biggest stars.”

“Some of my favorite jokes of all time have come from past Golden Globes opening monologues when Tina [Fey]Amy [Poehler] or Ricky [Gervais] have said exactly what we all didn’t know we desperately needed to hear,” she continued. “I just hope to continue in that time-honored tradition (that might also get me canceled). This is truly a dream job. Plus, I no longer have to feel guilty for every TV show and movie I’ve binged over the past year. It was all worth it.”

The Golden Globes, which first took place in 1944, have undergone several changes in recent years. The 2022 ceremony was not televised after stars boycotted due to a 2021 Los Angeles Times report that revealed the Hollywood Foreign Press Association — the organization of journalists that was responsible for awarding the Golden Globes at the time — had no Black members.

Although the HFPA vowed to diversify their membership and the Golden Globes returned to NBC with A-listers in attendance in 2023, the HFPA ultimately dissolved the following year, with Dick Clark Productions acquiring the Golden Globes and CBS signing a deal to air the awards show moving forward.
