The father of April Jones, a schoolgirl who was killed, Paul Jones, passed away without ever discovering the corpse of his daughter.

In 2018, six years after April was abducted in Machynlleth, Wales, in one of the most horrifying child abduction cases in British history, Jones, 55, died following.

A protracted struggle with a brain ailment. On October 1, 2012, five-year-old April disappeared after being seen boarding a vehicle close to her home.

The disappearance garnered national attention, including an appeal from then-Prime Minister David Cameron, and led to one of the biggest police searches in UK history.

Mark Bridger, then 46, was arrested as a result of the inquiry. The day after April’s disappearance, he was taken into custody after matching the description of the guy who was seen operating.

The vehicle. Bridger first entered a not guilty plea to the allegations of murder, perverting the course of justice, and kidnapping a child. He subsequently acknowledged,

However, that he was “probably responsible” for April’s passing. In Bridger’s fireplace, investigators found bone pieces and blood traces that matched April’s DNA.

In the end, he stated he couldn’t recall how he got rid of the young girl’s corpse and that he had struck her with his automobile while drunk.

April’s bones were never found in spite of this. Authorities think he could have dispersed them in the rural area close to his house.

Bridger received a life sentence after being found guilty on all counts. Paul Jones had passed away in Swansea at a specialized medical unit.

In a devastating social media statement on Tuesday, May 13, his stepdaughter Jazz Jones revealed his passing:

“My brother and I would want to inform everyone that our father, Paul Jones, passed away early this morning. We are all in amazement since it was so unexpected,” the Daily Star said.

The family is still struggling to accept his death, Jazz told The Sun. “We have a lot to process in just a single day,” she said. Our family is devastated,

But we’re still processing the news that Dad is no longer with us. For his sake, we’re not disclosing any details about his passing.

“Dad didn’t want any media attention towards the end, he wanted his privacy, and as a family, we need time to grieve,” she said.

Jazz previously gained notoriety for her remarks over the death of her younger sister. “Losing someone like this, where you don’t know what’s happened,

You have nothing to bury, you have nothing to say goodbye to, your entire world just falls apart,” she added. “Losing someone in any way is an emotional time.”

I was first furious because all I wanted to do was say goodbye. But then I reached the point when I thought, “I don’t know why I’m keeping my hopes up,

Because he’s never going to say anything.” I’m not going to waste my time or effort on it. Simply put, it’s not worth it,” she said.
