An Amazon driver has been fired after being caught on a home security camera doing something shockingly gross right on someone’s front porch.
Even though many people still want to support small businesses, it’s hard to compete with how quick and convenient Amazon makes everything.
But while they’re known for fast deliveries, one of their drivers ended up delivering something else to a customer’s front porch—and it’s not a package anyone wanted.
And honestly, it was just plain nasty.
Apparently, a female driver, who hasn’t been named, was caught on camera relieving herself not once—but twice—on private property while on her route.
Both incidents happened early in the morning around 6 a.m. in the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles on a Sunday.
KTLA-TV News reported that one homeowner decided to check their security footage and was completely shocked by what they saw.
The driver could be seen walking away from the front door while pulling up her pants, and what looked like human feces was left at the bottom of their outdoor staircase.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of it.
After finding out what happened, one of the neighbors checked their own footage.
They discovered the same Amazon driver urinating behind a wooden gate on their property, staring directly into the camera the whole time.
It didn’t take long for the footage to go viral. People were stunned, and soon Amazon responded with an official statement.
"We're deeply disturbed by the unacceptable behavior of this delivery driver and apologize to the customers involved," the company shared with KTLA.
"We immediately identified the driver and they are no longer delivering on behalf of Amazon."
Pretty sure this kind of behavior wasn’t part of the Amazon Prime membership agreement.
While this story gained attention, Amazon also found itself in hot water with the White House for something else entirely.
The retail giant now plans to show customers exactly how much of their total cost comes from tariffs.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t hold back when speaking at a heated press briefing.
"This is a hostile and political act by Amazon," she told reporters, according to BBC News. "Why didn't Amazon do this when the Biden administration hiked inflation to the highest level in 40 years?"
She made her feelings even clearer, saying: "I just got off the phone with the president about this, about Amazon's announcement. This is a hostile and political act by Amazon."
To emphasize her argument, Leavitt held up a printed copy of an old Reuters headline from 2021 that said: "Amazon partnered with China propaganda arm."
New data from SmartScout shows that almost 1,000 items sold on Amazon in the U.S. have already gone up in price. On average, the increase is around 30%. The spike is especially noticeable in things like tech gadgets, phone chargers, and women’s fashion.
Even Amazon CEO Andy Jassy commented on the issue during an interview with CNBC, saying: "I understand why. I mean, depending on which country you're in, you don't have 50% extra margin that you can play with. I think they'll try and pass the cost on."
So basically, not only might you be paying more for your stuff—but you also run the risk of a delivery that leaves you with more than just a package. Yikes.
