He is now the one who must live with the guilt of someone else’s crime for the rest of his life.
Even before the names of the masked teenagers were made public, the relatives of one suspect were quick to talk to media after a homeowner shot and killed three of them after they fired at him during an armed robbery.
The family had a lot to say about “these little teens” who died, as well as questions. After donning masks and shooting at a homeowner during an attempted robbery.
Three teenagers—later identified by WMAZ as Isaiah Reid, Jaime Hernandez, and Brandon Gresham—were killed
Family members of the lads quickly came forward to claim that “these little teens” didn’t deserve it.
Even though most people can understand why a homeowner would retaliate after being shot at by a gang of young guys wearing masks. At 4 a.m. on a Monday, the two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old, all wearing masks,
tried to rob three people in the front yard of a house in Conyers, Georgia, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s office.
One of the teenagers walked up to the house on White Oak Court, displayed a revolver, and discharged it. Three suspects were hit by a resident’s retaliatory fire.
The three teenagers who perished in the attempted robbery—two at a nearby hospital and one at the scene—were unharmed.
The Family Responds To The Shooting: After the shooting, a number of people gathered close to the area.
Although they refused to provide their names, they claimed to be connected to one of the deceased suspects and were anxious to share their thoughts about the experience with reporters.
Arguing that the teenagers—two of whom were brothers—did not deserve to die. One woman reportedly told WSB-TV, “He didn’t have to kill them.” “That’s not how it’s supposed to go,” one of the group’s young men grumbled.
“I know that one shot can stop individuals, victims, or anything else, but shooting these young teenagers forcefully is just too much.
He remarked, “That’s too much to handle,” showing his sorrow and frustration. Given that the homeowner was also a person of color, police do not think race had a role.
Asteria Williams, a neighbor, seemed to attest to the homeowner’s character when she added, “He’s a nice, caring dude.”
“He would have given them anything if they had knocked on his door and asked for it.
“He’s a good guy,” she continued. However, the relatives of the slain teenagers had inquiries.
In the episode below, LaShawn Thornton, the aunt of Reid and Hernandez, told 11 Alive,
“I hope that someone can come forward and let us know what’s going on, because this is, like, devastating to my family.”
“At this time, three teenagers have died. She went on to remark, “And we all loved them,” adding that she “wants justice.”
However, many people had questions for the family after learning of the boys’ deaths on social media,
including why they were out with handguns at four in the morning.
The homeowner and what they saw are described by the neighbors: According to the Daily Mail, neighbors described the homeowner as a “quiet, hard-working truck driver” who works long hours and is “rarely at home.”
Although there were “no trespassing” signs on his property that made it obvious that anyone caught trespassing would be shot, the neighborhood only had positive things to say about their neighbor.
He’s a decent neighbor. Chico Chapman remarked, “My nine-year-old son plays with his nephews,” and described the homeowner as a “friendly guy who always waves.”
According to police, a lady was one of the three individuals present at the residence when the shooting occurred.
And the homeowner was known to possess a semi-automatic gun and to be fiercely protective of his mother. After five shots, the sound changed to that of a handgun.
Then I heard an assault rifle being carried by someone. And a lot of rounds were fired,” Carlos Watson, a neighbor, recalled.
“The way these young men passed away is incredibly awful. I’m just hurt by it. I’m simply smitten.
Regarding the triple shooting, friend and neighbor Brian Jenkins added, “And so is the shooter.”
The homeowner’s spokesperson, Jenkins, stated that the man “acted on instinct” and clarified that he saw what happened after the gunshot.
“It’s likely that someone wearing a mask is attempting to cause bodily harm if they approach you at four in the morning,” Jenkins stated. He remembered holding the youngster while the teenager kept telling him he was dying.
“I heard a guy yelling for help: ‘Help me, help me, I’m dying, I’m dying, help me, help me,’” he claimed. Jenkins said, “I told him he wasn’t going to die, and he died.
Jenkins said, “I told him he wasn’t going to die, and he died.” Below is a clip from one of his tearful interviews in which he talks about the terrible day he will “always remember”
When the homeowner phoned 911, deputies discovered the teenagers outside the house,
still wearing their masks. One lay close to the driveway’s edge.
The other two were a little further up the road. According to ABC 10,
one of the teenagers was lying in a pool of blood on top of a black Glock handgun. Since this seems to be a “stand your ground” case of self-defense, no charges were brought and it seems unlikely that any will be.
One thing the relative was correct about was that “that’s not how it’s supposed to go.” Adolescents shouldn’t be trying to shoot innocent people and conduct armed robbery.
No one should have to live with the fact that this homeowner was “crushed” by the lives he took outside his home. But if one of the suspects opened fire, he had no choice but to risk death. He protected his house, his loved ones, and himself by doing what most people would do.
