Following a police response to a Florida Motel 6, officers were visibly outraged when they saw horrifying bodycam footage of a woman hurling a German Shepherd off the motel balcony.

Please note that the content that follows is graphic in nature. After responding to a report at the Motel 6 in Daytona Beach.

Police officers from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office were left in shock and distress by the actions of 35-year-old Florida woman Allison Murphy.

Even more aggressive and heinous was what she did when police arrived on her door after Murphy allegedly attacked a motel housekeeper and threatened to leap from the motel balcony.

Daytona Beach police and Volusia County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Motel 6 at 2992 West International Speedway Boulevard after receiving calls from motel employees reporting that a woman had attacked.

A motel maid and been standing over the railing, threatening to jump off a second-floor balcony. Murphy’s room was locked when deputies arrived.

Before Murphy opened the door of the motel room and made an unforgettable appearance, officers knocked many times.

Murphy emerged from the room with her leashed German Shepherd and swiftly swooped down to pick it up, as seen on startling bodycam footage.

Murphy performed the unthinkable before the officers could completely comprehend what was happening.

Officers watched in fear and shock as Allison Murphy, for reasons no one can explain, swiftly raised her German Shepherd above the railing and flung the dog out the second-floor balcony of the motel.

In response to the abhorrent act, the shocked cops wasted no time in grabbing and throwing the woman to the ground, threatening to tase her if she continued to fight arrest.

With little regard for the safety of the dog she just threw from the second-story balcony, Murphy tells the police that she is not afraid. However, officers were quite worried.

Allison Murphy was accused of both violently defying an officer and animal abuse. Bodycam footage of Murphy’s arrest at the Daytona Beach Motel 6 was released by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Department the next day.

It showed her throwing the German Shepherd off the balcony, much to the shock of the police watching.

Officers eventually got Allison Murphy into a squad car after successfully apprehending her, and then they met with the two agencies to talk about the chaotic scenario.

According to the Daily Mail, a cop told the group, “The dog was loose and she grabbed a hold of it and we all thought that she was going to probably bring him back inside but she just flung [her] right over the rail.”

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office reports that the dog landed upright. After taking off, she was finally stopped by onlookers.

After being placed under arrest by Volusia County Animal Services, who gave her the nickname Miracle, the German Shepherd was sent to the Atlantic Animal Hospital in Port Orange for an urgent assessment.

Miracle was lucky to be unharmed by the toss and following fall from the second storey, but an x-ray showed that she had a sewing needle stuck in her leg.

According to a statement from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, she was recuperating with Animal Services after undergoing a procedure to carefully remove the needle.

Although we frequently see animals kept in cages, as this story demonstrates, there are instances when the owners of the animals should be imprisoned.

Allison Murphy’s actions have no excuse, and she is extremely fortunate that law enforcement cannot retaliate in kind.

Many people would have liked to treat her the same way she treated this helpless dog, I’m sure. For keeping their cool and not throwing this woman over the fence, these police officers deserve a medal.
