Elon Musk has faced backlash from Taylor Swift fans after a ‘vulgar’ comment made online.
Donald Trump shared a jab at the singer on his platform, Truth Social, on May 16, that read: “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’”
A Twitter user called ‘Autism Capital’ shared a screenshot of this on the platform, writing: “Trump woke up today and said ‘You know what it’s been a while since I blasted Taylor Swift.’”
A separate account then hit out at the singer by sharing a photo of her singing on stage next to a ‘Pepe the Frog’ meme to which Musk replied with a laughing emoji.
Now, people have hit out at the billionaire, with one person accusing him of ‘body-shaming’ and another adding “They need to leave her the f**k alone what’s their obsession with her.”
A third shared their theory that the reason Trump and Musk are so ‘obsessed’ with the singer is because ‘she’s their class peer as a billionaire and they hate it’.
Another user added: “Same guy who threatened to put a baby in her last year? Dude is disgusting.”
There has been an ongoing beef between Trump and Swift after the singer shared her support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz during the election. She added at that time that an AI generate image of her supporting Trump had prompted her to speak out: “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”
She signed off as ‘childless cat lady’, hinting at JD Vance’s dig at democrats allegedly being a ‘bunch of childless cat ladies’.
Musk also hit out at the singer last year, in a bizzare way by offering to father her children. He wrote: “Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”
