Iran Attacks U.S. Bases in Qatar

Iran responded Monday to U.S. airstrikes on its nuclear facilities by launching at least six missiles at American outposts in Qatar, escalating tensions in the region.

According to reports, the missile strikes followed the U.S. attack on three key Iranian nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—carried out during “Operation Midnight Hammer” over the weekend.

An Israeli official confirmed that Iran launched the missiles in direct retaliation. The attack was seen as a warning to both the United States and Israel amid growing regional instability.

The targeted American outposts in Qatar include the Al Udeid Air Base, a critical hub for U.S. military operations in the Middle East. U.S. defense sources have not confirmed the full extent of damage, but early reports suggest there were no casualties.

Qatar’s Defense Ministry stated that their air defenses intercepted most of the incoming projectiles, minimizing potential harm. U.S. military officials are still assessing the situation.

The Pentagon has yet to issue a formal response, though White House officials noted they were anticipating retaliation from Iran following the weekend’s strikes.

This missile exchange marks one of the most serious military confrontations between Iran and the U.S. in recent years, raising fears of broader conflict.

Tensions in the region remain high as world powers watch for possible next moves from Tehran and Washington.
