Several mysterious cargo flights from China have raised concerns about covert support for Iran as tensions escalate with Israel.
According to The Telegraph, at least three Boeing 747 freighters—typically used for military equipment—left Chinese cities on consecutive days beginning Saturday, just after Israeli airstrikes on Iran. The timing has fueled speculation about their purpose.
The aircraft were tracked using public flight monitoring tools as they headed west through Central Asia. However, they vanished from radar near Iranian airspace, sparking further suspicion.
Officially, the planes were listed as en route to Luxembourg. Yet, none of them actually continued toward Europe, and their final destinations remain unknown.
Cargolux, the Luxembourg-based operator associated with the flights, confirmed that the aircraft did not enter Iranian airspace but refused to disclose the cargo contents.
This lack of transparency has prompted experts to question China’s role. Andrea Ghiselli, a specialist in Middle East-China relations, noted, “These cargos cannot but generate a lot of interest because of the expectation that China might do something to help Iran.”
With ongoing regional conflict and complex international ties, the mystery surrounding these flights adds a layer of intrigue—and potential concern—about global alignments.
As analysts and governments closely watch developments, the unanswered questions surrounding these cargo flights highlight the growing geopolitical tension in the region.
