New ratings regarding Donald Trump show what Americans really think of him and one state had a shocking result.
Earlier this month, a rating poll was taken five months after Trump became president for a second term and the results were shocking.
Now, a second survey taken by the Emerson College Polling has revealed that 45% of voters approve of him, 46% disapprove and 9% of Americans are unsure what to think.
Daily Boulder reported that in January 2025, Trump had a 49% overall approval rating.
53% of those asked think the US is ‘on the wrong track’ and 48% think the US is going in the right direction.
The executive director of Emerson College Polling, Spencer Kimball, said: “Looking ahead to next year’s Midterm Election, the Democrats have a slight edge over the Republicans, with independents breaking for the Democratic candidate 37% to 27%,” , “However, a significant 36% of independents are undecided, so this number is expected to shift.”
A second poll taken by the University of Texas and Texas Politics Project Poll found that the approval rating had decreased down to 44% and 55% of those asked disapprove of Trump.
Fox reported that 51% of those asked in this poll disapproved on Trump’s decision about the economy while 39% approved.
52% disapproved on inflation and prices with 34% approved. This is a significant result as Texas is traditionally a Republican strong state.
