A TV host that was reporting on a missing 13-year-old girl, accidentally tripped over her body while filming live on air.

Brazilian reporter Lenildo Frazão was reporting from the Mearim River on June 30 on missing teen girl, Raíssa – who tragically disappeared the day prior while swimming with her friends.

During his report, Frazão noticed something in the water and so decided to removed his shoes and walk with his microphone into the river, around chest height.

‘I think there is something at the bottom of the water,’ he said.

In a heartbreaking moment, the reporter became visibly shaken and moved back to the shallow part of the water.

He then went back in where he discovered the teens body. ‘It looked like one arm,’ he said.

The reporter can then be hard saying ‘My God from heaven,’, ‘Where’s the girl’s body. It was right here like this.’

A team of divers were then called to recover the teens body on June 30.

According to local news, the teen was struggling to stay afloat in the water when she screamed to her friends for help – who left to find a local to assist.

Sadly, when they returned, the teen could not be located.
