BREAKING: NYC Declares State of Emergency As Queens Turns Into a Raging River

New York, NY – Queens was hit with catastrophic flooding earlier today as a freak storm turned sidewalks into rivers and subways into drowning chambers.

Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency as multiple boroughs were submerged under several feet of water. Videos from residents show vehicles drifting like paper boats, and terrified New Yorkers wading through waist-deep floods with no clear evacuation routes.

“It was like a war zone,” said one resident. “We had no idea this was coming.”

Emergency services struggled to respond quickly due to blocked roads and impassable metro systems. MTA confirmed multiple lines were suspended after water overwhelmed tunnels and stations.

Officials are warning residents to stay indoors and off the roads. This marks yet another reminder of how unprepared even America’s largest cities are when nature strikes back — and it’s happening more often than we think.
