Tragic Accident on Star Lake
A fun family day turned tragic when an 11-year-old girl, Jordan Roe, died saving her 8-year-old cousin, Laila, in a tubing accident on Star Lake, Florida.
The Sea-Doo jet ski hit a dock, throwing Jordan, Laila, and 9-year-old Brylee into the water.
While Brylee had minor bruises, Jordan did not survive.
A Hero’s Final Act
Jordan was known as the family’s “protector.”
Her aunt said, “Jordan sacrificed her life, and she saved her cousin’s life with her life.”
Laila remains hospitalized after several surgeries, fighting to recover.

Family’s Message and Ongoing Support
Laila’s mother urged others: “I just ask everyone, hold your babies tight…
Please be careful.”
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating and seeking witnesses.

Remembering Jordan
Jordan loved animals and wanted to be a veterinarian.
Her family said, “Jordan died as she lived — protecting her family,” and highlighted her organ donation that “gave the gift of life to others.”
Tributes and fundraising efforts honor her bravery and kindness.
