Tourist Viciously Attacked by Crocodile

Crocodile Attack at Philippine Zoo

A tourist in the Philippines suffered severe injuries after attempting a selfie with a 15-foot crocodile named Lalay, mistakenly thinking it was a statue.

“The tourist was walking around the area, then he saw the crocodile, which he thought was just a plastic fixture.

He climbed the fence and entered the enclosure, and the crocodile attacked him,” said Staff Sergeant Joel Sajolga.

The Attack

As the man approached, Lalay snapped his arm and thigh, performing a “death roll.”

The ordeal lasted 30 minutes until a zoo handler stunned the crocodile, allowing the tourist to be rescued and rushed to the hospital with over 50 stitches.

Safety Concerns

The incident raises questions about zoo safety. Experts emphasize secure enclosures, visible warnings, and staff training to prevent such accidents.

A Warning on Selfies

This event highlights the dangers of interacting with wild animals.

Visitors must respect safety rules, while zoos must strengthen precautions to protect humans and animals alike.
