Lip Reader Spills What Trump Whispered to King Charles in Private

Donald Trump and his wife Melania have wrapped up their big state visit to the UK and are back home in the States. The highlight was Wednesday’s grand banquet with the whole Royal Family there. Trump gave a toast, but before he even got up, a lip reader caught him saying something personal to King Charles.

It’s been a whirlwind couple of days over in the UK, with the royals playing host to America’s top leader. King Charles had invited Trump back in July, and as always, when these two worlds collide, the media’s all over it. From the second Trump and Melania shook hands with Prince William and Kate Middleton, everyone was zooming in on every little moment.

The banquet was no exception – super fancy, with Trump sitting right between Kate and the King. Both he and Charles gave speeches, but it’s the off-the-cuff stuff that’s got people talking now.

Apparently, Trump let slip how he really feels about the King in a quick aside. Lip reading expert Jeremy Freeman spoke to the Mirror about it, saying Trump was full of admiration just before the toasts kicked off.

“It’s so incredible, it’s what you do so well,” Trump told Charles, according to Freeman.

Trump’s Personal Ties to the UK

Trump called the invite the “highest honor” during his visit, and he went on about the deep bond between the US and UK – shared language, family roots, all that good stuff.

Trump’s got his own connection to Britain, too. His mom, Mary Anne MacLeod, came from Scotland. He even said back in 2008 that he feels Scottish at heart. The Mirror notes that it was his mother who first got him interested in the royals.

And it wasn’t just Charles he was complimenting. Trump had nice things to say about the whole family, including the next in line, Prince William.

“I just want to say that His Majesty has also raised a remarkable son in His Royal Highness, Prince of Wales. Really amazing. We’ve gotten to know you and I think you’re going to have unbelievable success in the future,” he said.

He was also impressed by how well the King handles meeting folks.

“I just stood in line and shook about 150 hands, and the King knew every single person…or at least I think he did because no one was complaining. I was very impressed with that.”
